Hi! Welcome to What The Hair is Going On With Deana?!?! 
I thought you might like to know a little bit about me since you've come to visit my website. 
After a little detour in the finance industry, (ok so 16 years isn't such a little detour, but what are a couple of years amongst friends??) I decided to pack up my cubicle world and head for hair. 
I landed at Aveda Institute Minneapolis in June of 2004 and graduated in April of 2005.  I worked for 2 years at a salon in St. Paul where I learned a lot but decided that I needed a little more flexibility and stretching of my talents. 
After a quick assessment of my space at home I realized I had the best salon attached right to my house and you can't beat that commute!   I made the decision to open up shop in March of 2007 and realized that this is what I have always wanted to do.  I found my calling..... 
Being on your own is a challenge in itself but I have made it my goal to continue my education so I can offer all my clients the latest in cuts and colors.  I recently attended the Italy Hair Fashion Show and have been honing my skills by taking many coloring and cutting technique classes this past year.  Since January of 2011 I have been carrying a line of products called "Artego", a wonderful Italian haircolor and haircare line.  I was so excited about this line, I planned a whirlwind trip to Italy in October.  I spent  2 weeks gallivanting through Italy to get a feel of the culture, the scene and their way of life!  It was a wonderful experience but I am always glad to come home and see my family and my clients!

In my spare time I am avid film watcher, a self proclaimed movie critic and a trivia buff so be prepared to talk movies and general nonsense!
